06 Apr Baby Massage
Baby massage is for babies between 10 weeks old and pre-crawling, and their mums or dads and is a four week course.
Gently skin contact makes babies feel safe and secure and is a simple way of showing affection. Massage has been found to help with bonding and interaction between baby and parent.
Massage stimulates and can help develop baby’s circulation, digestion and immune system.
Massage may also help relieve colic and constipation a common problem with babies and even joint pain in older children.
Massage can be particularly soothing during times of stress.
The massage technique taught at Wentworth is used by Peter Walker’s International School of Developmental Baby Massage.
