Oral health is an important aspect of a child’s overall health and of their school readiness. Poor dental health impacts not just on the individual’s health but also their wellbeing and that of their family.
Children who have toothache or who need treatment may have pain, infections and difficulties with eating, sleeping and socialising. Tooth decay is largely preventable yet it remains a serious problem. By the time children reach 1 year they should have been registered with a dentist and about to go for the first appointment if not already been.
Wentworth staff attended oral health training and we take our role as oral health promotors seriously.
